This is one of the simplest concepts you'll find in a guitar pedal - it simply boosts your guitar signal, restoring lost clarity while also allowing for light OD sounds at higher settings. Ok, it's a little bit more in depth than that when you get to the guts of the pedal, but the basic idea is very simple.

- In bypass mode, it's an ultra high input impedance buffer (5Meg!)
- In the lower gain range, it's a flat booster (<15db)
- In the upper range, it's a treble booster (>15db)
