    What are P90 pickups?

    P90 pickups are a super versatile singe coil pickup for electric guitars. Because they have only one coil you can get some humming with this particular pickup. P90s are great for blues, country, and rock but not the best for metal.

    Are P90s better than humbuckers?

    P90's are great for a punchier tone and cleaner tone. They also fit certain styles of music that a humbucker just can't emulate. At the same time, their single coil design sometimes causes hum issues. A humbucker is a more aggressive and darker sounding option that's almost universally used for hard rock, metal and high gain applications.

    What sizes do P90s come in?

    P90 pickups come in three sizes - soapbar, dogear, and humbucker sized. The soapbar size is the most common P90 pickup.
