    What does a noise reduction pedal do?

    A noise reduction pedal (also known as a noise suppressor) attenuates a signal that drops below a certain threshold. If you are experiencing unwanted hum, a noise suppressor pedal will help.

    What is the difference between noise gate and noise suppression?

    A noise gate will completely block your signal until your volume threshold is reached. A noise suppression pedal will block hum and eliminate noise while still allowing some signal to pass.
