    What is an Acoustic Guitar Pickup?

    An acoustic guitar pickup is a pickup designed to amplify the sound of an acoustic guitar, usually with a soundhole mount, an undersaddle (piezo), or a small internal microphone. 

    What are some Acoustic Guitar Pickup Positions?

    1. Soundhole

    A soundhole pickup works similar to an electric guitar pickup, capturing the string vibrations, and amplifying them to the output (amp, PA system, etc).

    2. Undersaddle (piezo)

    An undersaddle / piezo pickup operates similarly, but picks up the vibrations of the wood in the guitar (under the saddle where the thin piezo pickup is installed) to capture and amplify the vibrations to the output.
